Now we all have seen or may own these type of frames. I personally have several that I have purchased in garage sales or Goodwill, this one cost me .75cents. I really like it as is,but it doesn't go with my decor, so I painted it. I used Americana Acrylic Paints in white and spa blue, paper plate, damp paper towel, and a sponge tip applicator.
First, I poured the white paint directly on the frame making sure that the paint was going inside the letters, I use the sponge to dab it in.
Next, I used a moist paper towel to rub off the white paint of the frame. The letters should be nicely filled with white paint, I retouched where needed.
Last, I poured spa blue on the paper plate, and reused the sponge (I rinsed it before)and dabbed some paint on it(not too much). I brushed gently over the frame being careful not to put too much pressure on it so I that the paint would not go in the letters and mess up the effect.
Here is the after picture! What do you think?

ummm, that is an AMAZING idea! I have a "sisters" frame that would look so much better with a little paint love. Thanks for sharing!
What a GREAT makeover! Love the way simple paint transformed it. And, I LOVE that color.
That came out so cute!
Very pretty. I love this suggestion.
I think I have a couple of those in my stash that I will be pulling out and repainting. Thanks for the great project idea
I think that it looks great. Much more professional your way than the original.
Love it! Maybe I should do mine that is similar.... =)
