<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">OhMyGoodness (aka OMG)!!! It's been tooo looong, I know...sorry. I am glad to be back though, and will do my best to post at least once a week. So much has changed on Blogger that I needed to give myself a quick orientation, lol. Okay so I am going to post a simple, but super cute project my hubby did for our restroom. It's a towel holder that only required a piece of wood (1x6) & 3 hooks I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby ($2 ea).</span></div>

Okay, so moving on to the inside of my dark brown dated cupboards. I still can't believe I lived with them for 4 years now. It had gotten to the point that opening them made me mad. Maybe it has something to do with me being pregnant and not being able to tolerate anything this color at the moment, who knows. So I did the most obvious thing to do and painted the inside. Love the results, thank goodness for creamy white. This is how all my cabinets looked liked before, <a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGOGSY7OVlI/AAAAAAAAA04/TLonlqnRXkQ/s1600/SAM_0625.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5504390820063499858" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGOGSY7OVlI/AAAAAAAAA04/TLonlqnRXkQ/s320/SAM_0625.JPG" style="cursor: hand; display: block; height: 240px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 320px;" /></a> and here is the after. I did away with all my mismatched dishes too.<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGOFxctKi-I/AAAAAAAAA0w/GAKOrlKddIs/s1600/SAM_0627.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5504390254142589922" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGOFxctKi-I/AAAAAAAAA0w/GAKOrlKddIs/s320/SAM_0627.JPG" style="cursor: hand; display: block; height: 240px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 320px;" /></a> I realized how sterile this may seem to you. I like it because it looks <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">sooo</span> clean.<br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGOEzPIRJyI/AAAAAAAAA0o/9LTGUjLwNh8/s1600/SAM_0003.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5504389185346283298" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGOEzPIRJyI/AAAAAAAAA0o/9LTGUjLwNh8/s320/SAM_0003.JPG" style="cursor: hand; display: block; height: 240px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 320px;" /></a> This is where I keep my snacks, drink mixes, <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">vitamins</span>, and storage containers. I have <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">learned</span> that it works better for me to have the lids attached to the containers even if it does take up more space. I don't have missing lids anymore.<br />

The tin container (from <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">IKEA</span>) holds my seasoning <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">pkg</span> (meatloaf, ranch, <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Italian</span>, gravy, taco seasoning, <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">etc</span>) they all stay neat inside and out of sight. The middle section holds my hot sauce & liquid smoke bottles, and my spices that I want to put on the racks, as soon as I find them. The bottom has my ck bouillon, <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">tomato</span> bouillon, and sea salt stored in cute small <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">Ikea</span> containers. My reg salt is in a bigger storage container and my everyday spices are also there at hand.<br />

<div>
Ta <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">Da</span>! Paint makes a difference, don't you think? I am definitely happy with the results, now the bottom cabinets is a different story. It will definitely have to wait until I paint my master bath. Do you know what color it is now??? Hint, same color as the inside of the before cabinet, yuk. Sad part is that I chose that color, latte seemed like a good color choice at that time. Oh well you live and learn right?</div>

I'm back, and ready to rock n roll. So to get things started, here you see my kitchen before, cluttered, messy and yes those are dirty dishes in the sink. </div><div align="center">Before this before (if this makes sense) my kitchen was still in the 80's, it had brown dated cabinets, green and white linoleum tile, and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">orange</span> counter tops, yes <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">orange</span>, pumpkin orange to be exact. I know I should of taken pics, still kicking myself for that.</div><div align="center">So first things first, I started with was the walls they were chalky white and I painted them this mossy green, I painted the cabinets (outside only), changed the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">counter tops</span> (on the cheap, not granite...yet), and did the floors. I was into the wine theme as you can see. <a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFW7bdYCYI/AAAAAAAAAzw/TEtD9j-rDKA/s1600/DSCN0261.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5503775798606694786" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFW7bdYCYI/AAAAAAAAAzw/TEtD9j-rDKA/s320/DSCN0261.JPG" border="0" /></a> <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Forward</span> 2 years later, I became sick of the wine decor and removed it all. It looked less cluttered, but the color was just getting on my nerves now.<br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFTFbsybNI/AAAAAAAAAzo/SvyhZapTdVo/s1600/DSCN1651.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5503771572423519442" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFTFbsybNI/AAAAAAAAAzo/SvyhZapTdVo/s320/DSCN1651.JPG" border="0" /></a> This pic is out of order, but you can see what I did with the outlet covers, cute huh?<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFSkkyeEOI/AAAAAAAAAzg/st0RJfo4qEY/s1600/DSCN2778.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5503771007927587042" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFSkkyeEOI/AAAAAAAAAzg/st0RJfo4qEY/s320/DSCN2778.JPG" border="0" /></a> My new bright and improved kitchen.<br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFRrDFdZII/AAAAAAAAAzY/NPKadJat8Og/s1600/DSCN2625.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5503770019627885698" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFRrDFdZII/AAAAAAAAAzY/NPKadJat8Og/s320/DSCN2625.JPG" border="0" /></a> We added recess lighting, love it!<br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFRdPWS9II/AAAAAAAAAzQ/SwHW6IH3NqM/s1600/DSCN2593.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5503769782401561730" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFRdPWS9II/AAAAAAAAAzQ/SwHW6IH3NqM/s320/DSCN2593.JPG" border="0" /></a> Of course my kitchen didn't stay clean for long ( 1 hubby and 2 kids </div><div>who think they have a live in maid....me)<br /></div><div><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFRIqgNbBI/AAAAAAAAAzI/WuEzC3pVkBE/s1600/DSCN2595.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5503769428913646610" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/TGFRIqgNbBI/AAAAAAAAAzI/WuEzC3pVkBE/s320/DSCN2595.JPG" border="0" /></a> I stayed happy with this look....for almost two years. Now I am adding some changes that I am currently working on. The color is definitely staying, but the decor isn't. I have some 6ft <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">shelves</span> that my hubby WILL put up for me today, after all I made him fresh flour tortillas this morning. Yes, I have been gone a long time and feel terrible about it. I am still working on my desk disaster, and I hope that it will be worth your wait. I decided to move my desk from the breakfast area to my dinning room area, so it turned out to be a bigger project than anticipated. I was outgrowing my little nook and convinced my hubby to please let me move into the dinning room. After all we only eat there 2 times a day for about an hour each time, that seemed like a waste of space. Since my little business is doing great I definitely needed more space for my inventory. So bare with me and I promise to post pictures of the results in less that 7 days. I have to say that <a href="http://mysweetsavannah.blogspot.com/">My Sweet Savannah</a> was the very first one I came across, and it was and still is breathtaking. Now I have so many favorite ones, it's crazy good! </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">So I have reached 102, wow! If your like me, you just toss it to the recycle bin...right? Well not anymore ladies. I realized how pretty the jars are to just simply throw away. So I had to do some research (google) to find out if there was a way to clean them. I tried this method and found it easy to do.</div><br /><div align="center">Step 1: Take your dirty, smokey jar and remove as much wax as you can.</div><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SvdJJwGpTNI/AAAAAAAAAfo/-9VRhikz5bI/s1600-h/DSCN5179.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401866709934623954" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SvdJJwGpTNI/AAAAAAAAAfo/-9VRhikz5bI/s320/DSCN5179.JPG" border="0" /></a> Step 2: Boil water in a tea kettle and let the water stand for about 10 min so that the water is not boiling hot. <span style="color:#cc0000;">(I actually didn't wait for the 10 minutes and one of my jars broke, so please be careful and make sure the water is not boiling hot)</span><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SvdIypueS2I/AAAAAAAAAfg/6gF__sp-CME/s1600-h/DSCN5183.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401866313085635426" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SvdIypueS2I/AAAAAAAAAfg/6gF__sp-CME/s320/DSCN5183.JPG" border="0" /></a> Step 3: Place a spoon inside the jar and slowly pour the hot water onto the spoon 3/4 of the way. The wax will begin to float to the top.<br /></div><div align="center"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SvdImx_6_OI/AAAAAAAAAfY/tt8iwcT80r4/s1600-h/DSCN5182.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401866109147872482" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SvdImx_6_OI/AAAAAAAAAfY/tt8iwcT80r4/s320/DSCN5182.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">Take a paper towel to skim the top to gather the floating wax. Carefully remove the spoon (caution it may be hot so use a hot pad) and pour the water out. Wash with soap and warm water.<br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SvdISzzpnHI/AAAAAAAAAfQ/rk0WC-uMFDc/s1600-h/DSCN5194.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401865766035889266" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SvdISzzpnHI/AAAAAAAAAfQ/rk0WC-uMFDc/s320/DSCN5194.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Ta Da!! I was born in Juarez City (Chihuahua, <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">MX</span>), moved to California when I was 1 1/2yrs old, then moved to Texas when I was 12 years.<br /><br /><br /><br />2. I guess you could say I have a thing for small, fluffy dogs. Unfortunately 2 of them died and one got stolen.( so sad)<br /><br /><br /><br />3. When I was 15, I lived in 1/2 of a house without windows(my dad used boards to cover the window frames at night and removed them for light during the day), without floors (used carpet to lay on dirt), without running water (we had to manually pump it out of the ground and it wasn't drinkable so we had to drive to get good water at a hardware store), these were hard time my family was going through. Although it was only 2 years, it was long enough to make me appreciate what I have now, to be humble, and to be giving to others in need as much as possible.<br /><br /><br /><br />4. I hated using our outhouse and was so <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">embarrassed</span> by it I never had friends over. I also slept on a couch for 2 years, I loved that couch, it was so cozy.<br /><br /><br /><br />5. It is gorgeous there and only less than 3 hours away from my parents house.<br /><br /><br />6. I love the beach, but I am terrified of the ocean.<br /><br /><br /><br />7. Who else could of took it?? </div><div align="center">So when she e-mailed me to ask if I had received it, I sadly said no. She was ready to mail me another one on the spot, but I wanted her to wait another week just to make sure it wasn't lost in the mail, but it wasn't. We had so much fun singing along and dancing. Where does time go? I still remember taking her to the Disney On Ice shows starting at age 4. It began to look <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">cluttered</span> and extra things were getting shoved in the shelves.<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdXMsaCJXI/AAAAAAAAAaY/mfo4LZA92b0/s1600-h/DSCN2881.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392874954389857650" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdXMsaCJXI/AAAAAAAAAaY/mfo4LZA92b0/s320/DSCN2881.JPG" border="0" /></a> So a while back my husband added creamy white stripes to the wall, and it looked like this.<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdWfLrGi9I/AAAAAAAAAaQ/F5qaz9CXpIM/s1600-h/DSCN4023.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392874172508965842" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdWfLrGi9I/AAAAAAAAAaQ/F5qaz9CXpIM/s320/DSCN4023.JPG" border="0" /></a> Then I added black frames with a touch of ribbon and now it looks like this.<br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdU3IDMXZI/AAAAAAAAAaA/Q1zgWNy7aZM/s1600-h/DSCN4772.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392872384829873554" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdU3IDMXZI/AAAAAAAAAaA/Q1zgWNy7aZM/s320/DSCN4772.jpg" border="0" /></a> I printed these out on regular white paper, stapled the ribbon to the frames and voila!<br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdUuw9w_DI/AAAAAAAAAZ4/RGGocV96WMk/s1600-h/DSCN4766.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392872241194138674" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdUuw9w_DI/AAAAAAAAAZ4/RGGocV96WMk/s320/DSCN4766.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdUnsZ5DGI/AAAAAAAAAZw/hakNJv65epk/s1600-h/DSCN4767.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392872119710846050" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdUnsZ5DGI/AAAAAAAAAZw/hakNJv65epk/s320/DSCN4767.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdUgcvch_I/AAAAAAAAAZo/wdcdIVenwD4/s1600-h/DSCN4768.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392871995247200242" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdUgcvch_I/AAAAAAAAAZo/wdcdIVenwD4/s320/DSCN4768.jpg" border="0" /></a> This is my touch of fall, cute white pumpkins and a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">febreze</span> candle in willow blossom, love it!!<br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdUYOgVfoI/AAAAAAAAAZg/loXCSmR4cmo/s1600-h/DSCN4769.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392871853986774658" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdUYOgVfoI/AAAAAAAAAZg/loXCSmR4cmo/s320/DSCN4769.jpg" border="0" /></a> Here is the other little piece of entryway on the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">opposite</span> wall. <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdVA3k7rsI/AAAAAAAAAaI/HzneDgyjdm4/s1600-h/DSCN4753.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392872552206675650" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StdVA3k7rsI/AAAAAAAAAaI/HzneDgyjdm4/s320/DSCN4753.jpg" border="0" /></a>This is the perfect spot for my son's timeout bench. I was very close to selling it a couple of weeks ago until it hit me....why not give it a make over! So I nagged my husband to go buy some moulding and so we (he) can get started on it. He began by removing the back board and replacing it with some left over bead board, then the top moulding was next, and finally side rope moulding was added. We used creamy white for the paint from <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Sherwin</span> Williams. <a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StPsTUgHf3I/AAAAAAAAAZI/pCI72bPigd8/s1600-h/DSCN4360.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391912995557703538" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/StPsTUgHf3I/AAAAAAAAAZI/pCI72bPigd8/s320/DSCN4360.JPG" border="0" /></a>

They are perfect for keeping things neat and organized. They can also be used to store, serve, or display. The best part is that the textures of woven baskets fit right into the fall theme, don't you think?? <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SsyhJqGqogI/AAAAAAAAAYg/JpCJmedBHD0/s1600-h/img20m%5B1%5D.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389860041348784642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 287px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SsyhJqGqogI/AAAAAAAAAYg/JpCJmedBHD0/s320/img20m%5B1%5D.jpg" border="0" /></a>Here are a few more cozy pictures of beautiful baskets that show us great ideas for storage.<br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_C3Fozwm-XaU/SplQgkA-9_I/AAAAAAAACFA/OSgHp3QRYHs/s400/img7m.jpg"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 383px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 344px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_C3Fozwm-XaU/SplQgkA-9_I/AAAAAAAACFA/OSgHp3QRYHs/s400/img7m.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tfGC7tOlrdk/Sp94nOx2_JI/AAAAAAAAIoc/U2HWLUDvjj8/s400/underbed-baskets.jpg"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 383px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 344px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_tfGC7tOlrdk/Sp94nOx2_JI/AAAAAAAAIoc/U2HWLUDvjj8/s400/underbed-baskets.jpg" border="0" /></a> I'm definitely going to be buying a baskets for my fire wood, what a great idea!<br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_TPi0n7DhN8s/SpvcYRx0niI/AAAAAAAAFl4/iiQWda1EW00/s400/pottery+barn+baskets+2.jpg"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 360px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_TPi0n7DhN8s/SpvcYRx0niI/AAAAAAAAFl4/iiQWda1EW00/s400/pottery+barn+baskets+2.jpg" border="0" /></a> Do you have too many books and don't know where to store them ? Just put them in some baskets and you are done. Of course you can make it more special by adding a cute label on the basket.<br /><br /><div><a href="http://www.potterybarn.com/pbimgs/rk/images/dp/products/200937/0092/img54m.jpg"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 383px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 344px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://www.potterybarn.com/pbimgs/rk/images/dp/products/200937/0092/img54m.jpg" border="0" /></a> I hope you enjoyed these pictures as much as I did. Pretty neat huh? Total cost for this project was $7 and about 2 hours of labor. This frame was purchased at Hobby Lobby for $6.99, original price was $69.99...yeah I scored! The ribbons, glass bead pins,cork board, and black and white toile fabric I already had.<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SslnZDFw8FI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/aAAZ1h9iCz0/s1600-h/DSCN4621.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388952109149384786" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SslnZDFw8FI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/aAAZ1h9iCz0/s320/DSCN4621.JPG" border="0" /></a> The Family plaque was also purchased at Hobby Lobby a while back, I just framed it with a dollar frame from GW(Good Will) that was sprayed white. We added the stripes to my hallway about 1 month ago, the same day we painted my daughter's room. I love it so much better now.<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/Sslm2WrHT_I/AAAAAAAAAYI/Mwj8xzM3yYA/s1600-h/DSCN4622.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388951513110892530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/Sslm2WrHT_I/AAAAAAAAAYI/Mwj8xzM3yYA/s320/DSCN4622.JPG" border="0" /></a>Here's a close up of the ribbon and the glass bead pins. If you missed the how to make the glass bead pins, you can find it <a href="http://2browneyedbeauties.blogspot.com/2009/09/glass-bead-push-pins.html">here</a>.<br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SslmnU6J10I/AAAAAAAAAYA/nWU6buFJ7kY/s1600-h/DSCN4625.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388951254939064130" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SslmnU6J10I/AAAAAAAAAYA/nWU6buFJ7kY/s320/DSCN4625.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Here is what the whole wall looks like. I created this space for her because her room was too <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">distracting</span> for her. Too often did I walk in on her only to find her playing with her barbies, little pets, or <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">game boy</span> instead of doing her homework. I moved her to the dinning room hoping it would work out better, but I was wrong. </div><div align="center"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SsWEW0ODXVI/AAAAAAAAAW4/2ydd5ScvnVw/s1600-h/DSCN4596.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5387858056728239442" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SsWEW0ODXVI/AAAAAAAAAW4/2ydd5ScvnVw/s320/DSCN4596.JPG" border="0" /></a> So I found her a little nook in the living room that was empty and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">began</span> making it her special study area. She loved it the minute she saw it! I have noticed how much she enjoys doing her homework now, and how clean and organized she keeps her desk.<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SsWEROFFhHI/AAAAAAAAAWw/TB_s368dqLo/s1600-h/DSCN4605.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5387857960590738546" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SsWEROFFhHI/AAAAAAAAAWw/TB_s368dqLo/s320/DSCN4605.JPG" border="0" /></a> The mini eiffel tower is actually a gift from Paris, she loves Paris, just like mom. You what she told me the other day while shopping at Target? <span style="color:#ff6666;">Her:</span> "Mommy, you know what? I am so into you!". <span style="color:#ff6666;">Me:</span> "What? What do you mean?" <span style="color:#ff6666;">Her:</span><span style="color:#000000;">,</span> "I just love your style of decorating! I love how you make everything so cozy and yummy and cottagy<span style="color:#ff6666;">(?)</span> and parisy<span style="color:#ff6666;">(?)</span>." Yes, yummy is a word we use to describe anything and everything. She also said she wants me to <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">decorate</span> her house when she buys one. She made me so happy, and like my <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">bff</span> says, she gave me warm <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">fuzzies</span>. I'm glad to know my daughter appreciates the fact that I am working hard to make our home our cozy and yummy<span style="color:#ff6666;">.(?don't know if these are actual words, but that is what she said)<br /></span><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SsWEIjeZWmI/AAAAAAAAAWo/GZspXxvZ05M/s1600-h/DSCN4599.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5387857811715218018" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k-f7jnJeMss/SsWEIjeZWmI/AAAAAAAAAWo/GZspXxvZ05M/s320/DSCN4599.JPG" border="0" /></a> My 2 year <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">old son</span> on the other hand can careless, his only care in the world right now are cookies, cars, and making the biggest mess possible in one day! I made the doll a female by adding a flower on her head and a tutu made of toilet paper.
